Join Dr Scott Bainbridge and Dr Audrey Shen for a Galapagos adventure! Volunteer your veterinary skills for 3-4 days to help at the local animal charity on the island and then spend the next few days enjoying the amazing islands.
Meet like minded Veterinarians, Vet techs and nurses and have fun assisting with our vaccination campaign, sterilisation clinic and local education program.
The Galapagos islands is a bucket-list adventure known for its extraordinary biodiversity, volcanic landscapes and unique wildlife encounters. Meet the Giant Tortoises and visit the Charles Darwin Research Station. Swim with the Marine Iguanas and go snorkelling with sea lions, sharks and rays!
Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival & Orientation Arrival in Galápagos and transfer to the island (Santa Cruz or Isabela) Settle into accommodation Orientation session with local team Prep clinic space and organize supplies
Day 2 – Clinic Day 1 Clinic opens at 8:00 AM Optional leisure activity (snorkeling, beach visit, tortoise center) Lunch (provided by Animal Balance) Clinic ends around 1:00 PM Afternoon free
Day 3 – Clinic Day 2 Full clinic day Lunch (provided by Animal Balance) Optional leisure activity (snorkeling, beach visit, tortoise center) Optional evening walk or visit to local sites
Day 4 – Wrap-Up & Community Activities Final clinic procedures / clean-up Summary meeting and celebration with team Lunch (provided by Animal Balance) Optional leisure activity (snorkeling, beach visit, tortoise center) Prepare for next-day departure Leisure Activities either side of program: Snorkeling at Las Tintoreras or La Lobería Visiting the Giant Tortoise Breeding Center Exploring local beaches and lava tunnels.
Enjoy fresh seafood and local cuisine Walking tours to spot marine iguanas, blue-footed boobies, and sea lions.
*Limited places of 8 *AUD $3,999 (PRICE IN AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS) Fee includes a sizeable donation to Possumwood Wildlife Sanctuary, program as above accomodation for 5 nights, daily breakfasts and transfers. Flights not included.
