I never realized just how much of an impact this mission was going to have on me.
I have been in the Veterinarian industry for over 20yrs and never have I had the chance to be a part of any life changing causes, until I was given the opportunity to be a part of a spay/neuter campaign this past October in Olon, Ecuador.
It was during this enjoyable/beautiful experience that Dr. Scott Bainbridge and Dr. Audrey Shen from Australia introduced me to IVVO. They both took the time to explain this wonderful project, that allows you to lend your helping hands to animals in need from different parts of our world. I felt an immediate connection to their beautiful work and wanted to know more on how I could help.
This is when they told me about their upcoming trip to Australia where I would be face to face with kangaroos, wallabys, wombats, echidnas, sugar gliders and more!!! I knew it would be a once in a lifetime opportunity to be around and assist some of the most exotic animals on earth. They explained how they wanted to educate and bring awareness to people about their magnificent wildlife and the care that they require.
After hearing about the stories on how they provide medical assistance and rescue injured animals, my mind was set and I was ready to take on this new adventure. I never realized just how much of an impact this mission was going to have on me. I didn't only learn about the animals; I was introduced to different parts of Australia and met some wonderful people on this journey.
I created an unexplainable bond with this magical Continent, the furry friends and with the dedicated humans, that will keep my heart full until the end of time. A million thank yous for these unforgettable memories💛
